The Nippo Maru is located East of Dublon Island in about 150-feet of water. It was a 5-hold passenger-cargo ship built in 1936. Her wartime mission was primarily water container, ammunition, and ordnance. She was 3764 tons and 353-feet long, 50-feet wide and 23-feet high. The range was 10,000 nm at 12 knots.

Of particular interest on the upright deck of the Nippo Maru are the artillary, such as the Howitzer's with splinter shields shown below.

Another spot of interest was the Bridge depicting what is left of the ship's wheel, telegraph and the voice tube.

Topside is one of the vessel's vents, entry into one of its 5-holds and signs of the torpedo blast on the port side of the ship, at about 140-150-feet. This was another very interesting wreck to dive, but one where you need keep a close watch on your dive computer, owing to the depth and draw of interesting attractions.
