The Rio de Janeiro Maru can be found off the Southwest tip of Uman Island. It was used as a transport vessel and submarine tender. Built in 1930, it was later equiped with a bow and stern gun.

On the left is a view of the interior of a passage way, before we descended inside the ship. Of course there were the many bottles spread around, but of greater interest, we believe the large containers we came across are depth charges that were stored below.
