Departing San Francisco on Singapore Airlines, we rested in Sinapore for a tour of the city and a couple of nights rest before continuing on to Manado, Indonesia and ten days of diving. Touring Singapore is a adventure in itself, but that is not what you came here to see.

This was our first venture into digital imaging and it changed our whole approach to capturing underwater images. The following are some of the varieties of clownfish that we found in the area.

Scorpion and lionfish are always plentiful in this part of the world. What I enjoyed finding was a Ghost Pipefish separated from its normal camouflage.

Nudibranch are plentiful and were of a reasonable large size compared to other parts of the Pacific that we have dived. A rather unusual sight was one of them laying her eggs.

I used to thing of crabs, such as you would find in the super-market. Once you venture under the sea and explore its surface, you are constantly amazed at the plethera of diversity found below.

Tunicates have a beauty all their own, sea squirts were so pleantiful that after a time you simply began to over look them, insearch for more unique sea life. Even the starfish provide interesting arrays of color and shape.

This is what started our venture into digital photography. The images were captured at only three megapixels. Our later images are in the five to eight megapixel range, and newer cameras are being developed with significantly greater resolution.
